“วีรบุรุษผู้ไม่ได้รับการยกย่อง” แห่งสายการผลิตถุงมือ – รถถัง

In a disposable glove production line, the tanks may seem ordinary, but they are critically important. They hold and store materials, acting as the bridge connecting each process step. Next, let’s explore the specific functions and significant importance of these tanks.

Core Functions of the Tanks

1. Mixing System Tanks (Compound Tanks / Coagulant Tanks)
Their primary function is to transform raw materials (such as PVC paste resin, nitrile latex, or natural latex) into a uniform dipping solution. Other functional features include:

Temperature Control: The tanks are equipped with internal heating or cooling systems to maintain the dipping solution temperature within (25-35°C), ensuring uniform thickness on the formers.

Prevention of Sedimentation: Tanks typically have internal circulation pumps and agitators to prevent material inconsistency that could lead to glove defects.

2. Dipping Tanks
This is where the glove formers are dipped into the compound. The thickness and shape of the gloves are controlled by adjusting various parameters as the formers pass through these tanks.
Typically, multiple dipping tanks are set up. For example, the coagulant tank promotes rapid gelling of the compound onto the former; the compound tank ensures film formation for the glove; and the PU coating tank applies anti-slip textures or wear-resistant layers. Additionally, these tanks are equipped with level sensors. When the material level drops, the system automatically replenishes it, maintaining consistent dipping depth and ensuring uniform glove length.

3. Auxiliary Function Tanks

Slurry/Release Agent Tank: This applies cornstarch, calcium carbonate, or a polymer coating to the inner surface of the gloves. This prevents the gloves from sticking together and makes them easier to don.

PU Coating Tank: This process typically occurs after the drying oven and before the beading machine. It involves dipping the glove surface in a polyurethane solution to enhance its lubricity and grip.

The Importance of Tanks in the Overall Production Line

These tanks are fundamental to the operation of the entire production line. They ensure continuous production, help lower operational costs, and improve product quality. They are designed to withstand harsh operating conditions, contributing to a safer working environment. Recognizing, maintaining, and optimizing this “unsung hero” represents a significant opportunity for companies to enhance their overall competitiveness, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
